I haven't really written a journal entry here because I write in LJ, but there are some people here that are not my friends on LJ.

Medical school apps are really going this time. I have new letters of recommendation and essays. I feel confident this year.

Karate and work is what I do most of the time. I have 5 weeks until black belt testing in Breckenridge. I have had my newest belt for a week and need 26 classes for the testing. I am practically living at the karate school, learning 1 new musical form, 1 new weapons form, and 4 new combinations. To make it even harder, I am doing it with a hurt ankle. My right ankle has always been bothering me, and I hurt it again while running Red Rocks, training for my testing; a grade III sprain (the worst possible). I hate crutches with a passion! It has been about 2 weeks since the incident, and my ankle is still bothering me. I haven't run since then and am getting nervous. I am running out to find another good ankle support before today's 3 hour karate class. One of the black belts is working with me one-on-one before the 2 hour conditioning class (how many of you can do 1000 jumping jacks in a row?).

Check out my facebook for lots of new pictures! I have been partying with my karate friends over the weekends. I love these guys! Last weekend was also the local anime convention, NDK. I hope they move to a bigger location next year because it is hard cramming in all of those people into the tiny hotel. I was bothered even more by some of the anime folks this year. One of them hit my friend while she crossing the street (had the walk signal) and was laughing about it. I might have hit him if I wasn't busy tending to her (EMT Al to the rescue!).

I haven't had a lot of time to take more pictures. I wish I had my good camera with the amazing sunsets we have been having.
